Grants of up to $10,000 to Saskatchewan nonprofit organizations to support sports, cultural, or recreational programs and events that benefit residents in eligible locations. Funding priority is intended for projects that serve youth at risk, newcomers, Indigenous residents, the economically disadvantaged, older adults (65 and up), people with a disability, and single-parent families. Preference will also be given to projects that primarily benefit Saskatoon residents and that increase Winter City activities.
The goals of this grant program are:To provide access to sport, culture, and recreation programs for all Saskatchewan people regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, economic status, physical or mental ability;To support the development and maintenance of sport, culture, and recreation programs and activities; andTo increase the awareness of the benefits of participation in sport, culture, and recreation programs as a way of improving individual health, well-being, and self-fulfillment.Eligible Expenses:Fees for artists, instructors, leaders, and mentors;Project equipment, supplies, facility rental, and other direct project costs;Transportation for participants (taxi, bus, or rented vehicle);Elder Fees and Elder helpers fees; Operation costs of facilities that are directly related to the project;Employment expenditures that are no more than 35 hours a week and no more than 90 days in a grant period (or 455 hours in a grant period).grants for minorities
