Grants to California municipalities, counties, and districts to achieve economic and health-related goals. Funding is intended for projects to enhance recreational opportunities in eligible areas throughout the State. The goal of the program is to attract visitors and to improve the health of state residents. Projects must be in rural areas of the State.
Eligible Projects and Priorities –¬†Acquisition and development, or development of land to:
Create new recreational opportunities in rural communities that have a lack of outdoor recreation infrastructure.
